Then, when I took a step back and though about the results, I started to agree with this. Yes I can be loud, and headstrong, however I am more than happy to collaborate and listen, especially when I know I am not a subject-matter expert. However, I am still taken aback at how towards the middle of all these traits other see me as.
I am not sure if this is a weakness, if this means I have a lot to learn, if I am flexible or well rounded. Since I am just starting my career and I am relatively young, I think it is mostly that I have a lot to learn. I need to find out which management techniques work best for me and develop a preference based on my strengths.
I was quite surprised that others rated Adam in the middle of the road. I have found him to be extremely intelligent and able to articulate strong opinions. I have not noticed any wishy-washy "middle of the road" opinions. It may be that he feels more comfortable expressing strong opinions in an academic setting than in his work, which makes sense as you don't want to offend people or burn any bridges at work. As my Father likes to say "Keep your words sweet lest you have to eat them."
ReplyDeleteI agree with Adam that he's a good team player. He was very willing to pitch in and did his part of the work for our group project. I think Adam's guts and drive will make his very successful in his career.
I totally agree with Joi. He is certainly a great team player, he knows how to motivate others and he is always eager to learn. I also totally can see Adam as a person with strong opinions and well articulated and reasonable to argue them.
